Volunteer With FNB Mentoring & Coaching

FNB Mentoring & Coaching supports children, young people, families and adults to move forwards with confidence and purpose. Our work is built on trust, consistency and real human connection. Volunteers play an essential role in helping us provide meaningful support to those who need it most.

Who We Support

We work with individuals and families at different stages of life. This includes young people navigating education or transitions, families seeking stability and guidance, and adults who may need encouragement, direction or someone to listen. Our approach is practical, compassionate and non judgemental.

Why Volunteer With Us

Volunteering with FNB is about being present and supportive. You may help someone build confidence, explore their options or feel less alone during a challenging time. You do not need formal qualifications, just empathy, reliability and a willingness to help others move forwards.

What You Can Expect

We provide guidance, training and ongoing support to our volunteers. Opportunities are flexible and designed to fit around your availability. In return, you will be part of a values led organisation making a genuine difference in people’s lives.

Volunteer Experience

Volunteering with FNB is rewarding and impactful. Seeing the positive change that consistent support can bring to individuals and families is what makes this work so meaningful.

Are you aged 16 or above and want to make a difference?

Volunteering for Change is a structured personal development and volunteering programme for young people aged 16 or above, delivered by FNB Mentoring and Coaching CIC, Forwards Not Backwards. It supports young people to build confidence, practical skills and a clearer sense of direction through a 10 to 15 week journey that blends supported community volunteering with one to one and group mentoring, work readiness workshops and reflective sessions.

Participants strengthen their communication, teamwork, leadership, timekeeping, problem solving and professional behaviour, while gaining accreditation or certificates that add weight to CVs, job applications and interviews. The programme is inclusive and trauma aware, and works particularly well for young people who may lack confidence, feel disengaged from education or employment, or simply need steady encouragement and hands on experience to move forward.
